All the way from Arcturus, one of the brightest stars in the universe, The Arcturians descended to bring us their unique mix of compelling melodies and energizing drops. In their short time on planet Earth, they’ve already made big waves in the electronic music scene, with releases on Dim Mak, Spinnin’ Records and UKF, amongst others. Collaborations with Vaski, Oski & Protohype, as well as joining forces with Teminite are only the beginning of a discography that will leave you breathless. As loving and non-judgemental as they are musical, there’s only one way to describe The Arcturians: truly out of this world.
Andy Denk, better known as Red Comet, discovered his passion for mixing andDJing during his attendance at Madison Media Institute. When first starting out his first platform of mixing was on an iPad 2 using brand new Traktor software made for iPad. After Madison Media, Andy moved back home to pursue his career in graphic design at a two year UW college. In 2013 he made the move to UW-Stout to finish up schooling. While attending he would play house parties and DJ at one of the bars. Andy finally got his break in 2014 by being direct support for the Tim Gunter show. Since then Red Comet has played for shows like Adventure Club, The Chainsmokers, Illenium, Sonic Fusion Music Festival, 3LAU and finally ending 2016 with his first midwest tour.
Red Comet’s creativity and passion as an artist have shown through in his production work with his tracks awarding him with much critical acclaim and praise. His originals, edits, and remixes have received immense support from EDM blogs such as Tracks For Days, EDM Network, Smash The Club, and Daily Dose Of EDM. Over the 2016 summer, Red Comet produced his first EP called Memories, which received great response from the EDM community. “Years Later” is one of the popular tracks from the EP that gives chilling vibes of throughout the track with graceful vocal chops, synths and movement.
At the age of 27, Andy Denk has a very bright future ahead of him in the music industry and so far has been very successful. His dedication to his craft and ambition continues to propel Red Comet further than he ever could dream of!
Dextrious fell in love with Djing in 1998 after his friends began taking him to local Fargo dance parties. Once he started mixing his dedication was unwavering. Practicing day and night he soon got booked for his first show after only three months behind the decks. Since then he has been a staple in the Fargo Dj scene.
His resume is extensive and includes being a long time resident DJ at the hub, dominating local Dj battles, performing along side Nelly, Gym Class Heros and T-pain while touring extensively with Jade Presents and winning the HPR’s best bet for “Live Performance Dj” twice while being nominated 7 times. Yet after almost 20 years rocking parties he hasnt lost his dedication or passion for making people dance.
When you come out to subculture you can find him playing everything from dnb and hip hop to house and garage and all with that signature cutting and scratching that make his Dj style all his own.
